About the artist Ken Alin
Ken Alin, he is one of life member of Canadian Chinese Artists Federation in Vancouver, Canada. He was born in Taiwan with an innate affinity towards the visual arts. During his youth he dabbled in comics and published over ten volumes to his name. He also has a long history of experimenting with Chinese and Western painting, sculpture, calligraphy, photography. Ken prefers to use various modern techniques and media to make varied style rather than only monotone type.
In 1985 Ken went on to study art at The Arts Student League of New York. During the 90's Ken perfected his craft at Xiamen (China) University Faculty of Fine Arts institute for over-sea Chinese while working professionally at art galleries in Taiwan, where his works were exhibited.
In 2008, a Ken's painting work which made in semi-cubic style "The masks of East and West" won the Juried Award of the category of Modern Arts at C.C.C.G.V. (Canada). The work expressed a new visual experience of combined Eastern and Western masks' interesting; thus he has been hailed as the headmost one of Chinese Canadian who was "Creating a new experience about integration of elements between Eastern and Western visual art" in 21st century.
Ken immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1994. In recent years his work features various media with a modernist flair. He is also developing an interest in a Chinese traditional painting and calligraphic techniques. He is a positive exhibitor involving several art shows in North America and Asian.

關於畫家林懇
林懇現為溫哥華華人藝術家協會永久會員。生於台灣台北,幼喜美術,少習漫畫,中學時代曾出版漫畫書十餘冊;及長涉獵中西繪畫、雕塑、書法、攝影等。喜好運用多元的現代技法及媒材自由原創,不拘一格。
1985年赴紐約藝術學生聯盟(The Art Students League of New York)研習美術創作。90年代在台灣從事畫廊工作並展出作品,同時研習於中國廈門大學美術系海外教學。
2008年林懇以一件名為〈東西臉譜〉的半立體性畫作,表現出融合中西臉譜趣味的新視覺經驗,獲「中華文化中心藝術評審展競賽」現代畫首獎,而被喻為廿一世紀加拿大華裔首個「創新中西視覺藝術元素融合之經驗」的畫家。
1994年移居加拿大溫哥華,作品趨於運用各種媒材表現現代風格為主;並喜作國畫、書法之創新研究。積極參與包括美洲及亞洲等地的藝術展出。
